Producer/Director

Ose is a Nigerian-American filmmaker based between Lagos, Los Angeles and London. He has won awards from a few film festivals, including the Tribeca Film Festival. He is a fellow of the Tribeca Film Institute, the Fox Writers Initiative and a past finalist for the Sundance Screenwriters’ lab and the Nichol’s fellowship. His web series, OH-BAMA, was a winner at the Roma Web film festival (Roma Webfest). He holds an MFA in film production from the School of Cinematic Arts at the University of Southern California, Los Angeles.

MARK JONATHAN HARRIS

Executive Producer

Mark Jonathan Harris is an American documentary filmmaker best known for his films Into the Arms of Strangers: Stories of the Kindertransport (2000) and The Long Way Home (1997). He has directed three documentaries which have gone on to win Oscars, across three different decades. In 2003, Harris wrote Unchained Memories: Readings from the Slave Narratives. He was nominated for outstanding writing for non-fiction writing for this documentary.

ERIC CONNER

Producer

Eric’s writing credits include the TV pilot SIDE HUSTLE and THE MYSTERIES with Robert Gardner (The Wedding Palace). He was production manager on the documentary THE CUTTING EDGE featuring Steven Spielberg, George Lucas, and Sean Penn. Eric currently hosts and produces THE BACKLOT, an arts podcast for the New York Film Academy, where he teaches grad & undergrad courses and served as Dean of Students. He received his MFA from the University of Southern California and BA from the University of Pennsylvania.

CASSIE ARISON

The American-born, Tel Aviv–raised, and New York-based creatively-inclined publisher and entrepreneur is an alum of the Lang School of Liberal Arts at the New School in Manhattan, New York. She is the co-founder of AsPromised, a Middle Eastern culture and design-focused magazine, a board member of the Jerusalem Foundation, and a philanthropist.  

ROMAN SHUMUNOV

Roman Shumonov is an award-winning Israeli cinematographer who, since transitioning to directing, has been named one of the most promising directors to come out of Israel. His latest feature, HERE AND NOWwas a nominee at the 2019 Israeli Oscars. His debut film, BABYLON DREAMERS has played in several film festivals and theaters all over the world. He is a graduate in Cinema and Television Studies from Sapir Academic College, the largest public college in Israel located near Sderot.

YOUSSEF NATEEL

CO-Producer

Youssef Nateel is one of Gaza most enterprising, young producers. He has produced hundreds of hours of content for various media organizations, including CNN, BBC, NBC and several foreign news organizations, NGOs and international organizations. He was production manager on Khalil Mozayen’s acclaimed GAZA 36MM and producer on SARA which was a selection at the Dubai International Film festival, amongst other festivals. He is a graduate of digital filmmaking and video production from the Palestine Technical College in Gaza.

KARIN ZELINGER

Cinematographer

Karin Zelinger is a graduate of Cinema and Television Studies from Sapir College, Sderot. Since graduating from college she has worked on several film and television projects as a cinematographer and producer in Israel and the United States of America. She is one of the few Israelis who have ever ventured into Gaza in the last decade.

MOHAMMED EL MAJADAWI

Cinematographer

Mohammed El MAJADWI is a young, dynamic filmmaker working out of Gaza. He is a film and television studies graduate of the Al-Azhar University in Gaza. He has worked for many NGOs, the United Nations Refugees Commission, news organizations and documentary projects in Gaza. In recognition of his work, he was granted a scholarship to continue his film studies at Lund University in Sweden.

SUAD BUSHNAQ

Composer

Suad Bushnaq is a multilingual Arab-Canadian film and concert composer whose music has been hailed as ‘reflective and touching’ (BBC The Arts Hour). Her film score in concert, ‘The Borrowed Dress’ earned her rare praise from the legendary film composer Hans Zimmer who hailed her as an “incredible artist”. Her piece, ‘The Road to Jenin’ from her film score for a feature entitled ‘The Curve’ won a Silver Medal for Outstanding Achievement in Original Score at the Global Music Awards. Many of her films have played at prestigious film festivals, including the Dubai, Edinburgh, Seattle and Hot Docs film festivals.
